The new restaurants will replace the Penn Queen Diner, which began operations in May 2022 and had been in business for 58 years. Alongside, developers will introduce a retail building on the plot located at 7377 N Crescent Blvd.
Taco Bell is set to occupy a space of 2,722 square feet, while the Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons will take up a 1,610-square-foot area. Both establishments will feature dual drive-thrus. The purpose or tenant for the remaining 1,750-square-foot retail space has not been disclosed.
The plan received approval from Pennsauken’s Zoning Board on Sept. 30 and was fully approved on Nov. 1, marking the next steps for the development.
